adolescent therapy

Adolescence is a time of constant flux, both internally and externally, which can sometimes be difficult to negotiate without help.  If you or a young person in your life is having trouble coping with stresses, is withdrawn or acting out in dangerous ways, or is experiencing trouble with school or peers, it can be very helpful to have a private place outside of home, school, and friendships to sort out the problems. Some of the many difficulties I've helped adolescents with include:

  • depression & loneliness
  • identity questions
  • stress & anxiety
  • shyness & social anxiety
  • issues stemming from divorce
  • academic trouble
  • difficulties with peers
  • sexual questions
  • grief & loss
  • body image & eating issues
  • shame
